Know the difficulty first

This is not a zero-effort mountain.

Haba's standard route is mainly a snow-slope ascent. The real challenge is the altitude, a long summit day and rapidly changing weather. Expect around 8–10 hours of movement on summit day. Reaching the top depends on the weather, your condition and the guide's safety decision.

Before you book

Is Haba right for you?

Age alone does not determine whether you are ready. Before accepting a booking, we ask about your previous altitude experience, fitness, health and familiarity with mountain equipment.

01

Endurance

You can carry a daypack and keep moving steadily for 8–10 hours at altitude.

02

Health

You have no uncontrolled high blood pressure, serious heart or lung condition, or active respiratory infection.

03

Patient pacing

You are willing to move at an acclimatisation pace and report headaches, nausea or unusual breathlessness early.

04

Safety decisions

You accept that the guide may turn the climb around when weather or physical conditions are unsafe.

Altitude and safety

You are paying for professional support—not a guaranteed summit.

A responsible high-altitude trip needs clear turnaround rules. We explain the limits before booking so that everyone understands what happens when the weather changes or a climber becomes unwell.

Report symptoms earlyHeadache, chest tightness, nausea, vomiting, insomnia or unusual breathlessness must be reported immediately.
Weather and the guide decideDeparture time, route and summit attempt may change because of weather, access restrictions or your physical condition.
Insurance does not replace disclosureWithholding medical conditions or symptoms increases the risk to you and the mountain team.
A summit is never guaranteed. The guide's decision, based on weather, altitude response and on-site safety, is final.
